Sidharth Malhotra gearing up for The Villain

Sidharth Malhotra, who made his debut in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s The Student of The Year is gearing up to play a pivotal role in Ekta Kapoor’s The Villain. A stylish actor, he is currently undergoing a look change to start shooting for this film. It is said that with this film Ekta plans to show Sidharth as a angry young man. “Sidharth was always the first choice, as both Ekta and director Mohit Suri were looking for a tall, rugged and good-looking actor. He has become popular among the youth after SOTY. He has the appeal, looks and intensity to carry a commercial action-romantic thriller on his shoulders. He is tomorrow’s angry young man, and we believe that he is the right choice for this film,” said Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures. The film will also have a strong villainous character for which the casting will be done in a few days. Also, the makers are yet to decide on the female lead. They have two to three names in mind. Now, only time will tell if the shy looking Sidharth can stand up as The Villain.
