TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him what are his thoughts about the movie not performing that well at the box office and also spoke about how the directors and the actors were scared to make the movie.

What do you think would be the reason for Singham Return not doing well at the Box – office? And does he feel that depicting the Ramayan was one of the reasons for it?

The film was made in a favourable manner, with a massive set up and a large celebrity cast. When a director creates a film, no one knows if it will be a success or a failure. Singham 1 and 2 performed well at the box office for their period, and Singham Returns was expected to gather a large number but did not. Rohit Shetty created this story with a full heart and a new vision of Ramayan, which was appreciated by the audience, albeit some would criticize it as is the fate of every film.

Was the director and the cast scared of making the movie as Social Media gives a free hand for everyone to get touchy?

Yes, everyone was concerned because with social media, anyone can become offended and touchy, pointing fingers at any scene in the film, but fortunately, things worked out for us and the film was accepted with no controversy because Rohit Shetty knew exactly what he was doing and was very careful with small details.

Well, no doubt that the fans loved Daya in the movie and the movie was a hit at the box office.
