Actor Emraan Hashmi feels single producers understand stories and they are not businessmen, and this is one of the reasons why they are still ruling the industry.
While many studios have shut down in recent times, Emraan analyses the whole situation and feels that one has to understand the pulse of the audience.
"We don't know really how and why these studios are shutting down. I believe single producers has been here for a long time and they are the people who understand films and stories. They are not businessmen," Emraan told IANS in an interaction here.
"There are people who understand money but films are not about money, it's about ideas and stories. First, they have to understand the pulse of the audience," he added.
Meanwhile, the actor is also happy with the kind of offers he is getting these days.
"I am very happy than I was a few years back. There are some really interesting scripts coming my way. There is variety and I have seen that change. When actors pick up variety of roles, you have to be prepared for the risks," he said.
Emraan is currently busy promoting his film "Raaz Reboot". Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film also features Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora.
Produced by Vishesh Films, the film will release on September 16.
