MUMBAI: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding has been the talk of the town and recently their unique wedding invite was also leaked online, which added to the frenzy of fans. The couple are yet to make an official announcement about their marriage.
Poonam Dhillon recently told a news portal that she had received a "lovely" invitation from the pair, putting an end to the rumors. Rapper Honey Singh has now confirmed the marriage. Honey Singh and the Dabangg star collaborated on the tracks Desi Kalakaar (2014) and Kalaastar (2023). Even though he is currently overseas, Honey said on his Instagram page that he will be present for the festivities.
Rapper Honey Singh took to his Insta stories and wrote, “Tho I gonna be in London shooting Glory’s first song, but I will make sure I will attend my best friend Sonakshi’s wedding as she has been a big support in my career and helped me so many times in life. Best wishes to the power couple Sona and Zaheer! Bholenath bless them.”
Pahlaj Nihalani who is Sonakshi’s father Sharrughan’s good friend recently said, “I am Sonakshi’s mama (uncle). All my blessings to her and Zaheer. They are finally getting married. I send them all my good wishes.”
He further added, “Naturally, these days children take their own decisions. Finally, they are the ones who have to be together; so parents should be happy. A couple has to live the married life and that’s the main thing. They should love and be comfortable with each other.”
Shatrughan Sinha reacted to the news of his daughter’s wedding saying, “Time will tell. She will always have my blessings. Sonakshi is the apple of my eyes. She is my only daughter and very close to me.”
He further added, “If my daughter is getting married, I will give her my blessings and support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her companion, and I will be the happiest father on her wedding day. I will always wish her the best… ek hi toh beti hai meri.
The duo will tie the knot on 23rd June 2024.
