Sooraj Barjatya to start his new film in May 2014; not titled Bade Bhaiyya as reported

Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan
All the wild speculation about Sooraj Barjatya’s next film starring Salman Khan should now come to an end. And no, there is no Kareena Kapoor or Deepika Padukone or Ileana D’cruz in the film. Sooraj who has not directed a film since the well-received Vivaah in 2006, clearly told us, “I start my film in May next year. And regarding the leading lady, nothing is decided as yet.” Sooraj also wonders where the title Bhade Bhaiyya is coming from. Avers the director, “It does sounds like something that my film could be called, but it is not. All I can tell you at the moment is it’s a family film again with lots of characters and each character has to be written carefully. It is thus a time-consuming process and I don’t want to rush into it.” “It would convey all the joys and sorrows of a joint family. It will have tears and laughter and of course celebration. But at the same time it’d be a little different from the family films I’ve made in the past. The definition of family values has changed in recent years; my film would have to reflect that change. The closure of the script will happen only when a voice from within me says it’s complete.” Speaking on his long and very fruitful association with Salman Khan, Sooraj affectionately says, “He is like my brother; we have a bonding that goes beyond the films we do together.” For now let’s just wait for this director’s new offering.
