‘SSR once said Kismat uska hi saath deti hai jo sahi mehnat me believe karte hai’ says Casting Director Shadman Khan

MUMBAI: Its been an year since we lost our favourite superstar Sushant Singh Rajput. A loss on which an entire nation cried and couldn’t sleep for many days. Sushant Singh Rajput was indeed a majestic personality that had given many splendid movies to remember for lifetime. Because of his nuanced performance in every movie, not only his fans, many people from environment world were and are still his fans.

One of the biggest admirers of Rajput is his friend Shadman Khan. Casting Director Shadman Khan met Sushant through their common friend Siddharth Gupta. All three including a few of their friends used to chill and party together. Khan with a heavy heart remembers “when I met him first at Sid’s place, I didn’t feel for a second that I was meeting him for the very first times. He was so humble and down to earth. I remember, we had a very long discussion that day and he was motivating me throughout as that time I was in the initial phase of my career. We instantly clicked and became good friends. He had a habit of writing and converting his emotions into words. When we all used to sit together, Sushant used to entertain us by playing guitar and reciting his written phrases as he was excellent in that. “

Khan further says “SSR used to tell us that he had many goals in life. I remember a day when I was feeling very low because things were not working out in my favour in terms of career and I was discussing that with Sushant, he told me something that changed my perception completely. He said ‘life me kuch bhi easy nahi hota. We have to struggle for that. We just have to do our part means planning karke mehnat karo and then apki kismat hai. Kismat uska hi saath deti hai jo sahi mehnat me believe karte hai’. His words touched me instantly.
