Stars who took a break from films to nurture their babies

Check out actresses who took a break from films at the peak of their career to give time to their babies.

MUMBAI: It is not easy to be a mother and it gets more difficult if you are a celeb mom. There have been many celebrities who did take a break to focus on the upbringing of their child. They have had babies when they were at the top of their careers, but check out famous actresses who took a break to experience the joy of motherhood.

Rani Mukerji 

The stunning actress had taken a long break after she was blessed with Adira back in 2015. Her return on the screens was in 2018 with Hitchki. During the movie promotions she also said, "When I had Adira, I was happy being at home. It was my husband (Aditya Chopra), who pushed me to get back to work. And it’s just that little nudge that one needs because a certain comfort sets in, and you feel happy there. I was working for many years and wasn’t a young mother. I was like, ‘Let me be with my child".

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan 

It was in 2007 that Ash married Abhishek Bachchan. She was blessed with Aaradhya in 2011, after 'Guzaarish'. She took a break from the movie world and hit back the screens in 2015 with 'Jazbaa'.

Kajol

The versatile heroine was blessed with Nysa back in 2003. She took a break to bond with her daughter and soared the screens back with 'Fanaa'. Even in 2010, she took a break after she was blessed with Yug.

Lara Dutta 

The former Miss Universe took a three-year break after she was blessed with a daughter in 2012. The actress had done top films before her baby was born. Some of those included 'Masti' (2004), 'Kaal' (2005), 'No Entry' (2005), 'Bhagam Bhag' (2006), 'Partner' (2007), 'Housefull' (2010) and 'Don 2' (2011).
