Sunil Pal recalls a special anecdote of Shah Rukh Khan secretly visiting a member of his staff residing in a slum; Says ‘Once in 4-6 months during special occasions’

MUMBAI: Without question, Shah Rukh Khan is the most famous person in India. He has an unparalleled fan base and is loved and appreciated by people all over the world. In addition to his extensive filmography, the actor has won over many people's hearts with his humble nature and his determination to maintain his groundedness in the face of great stardom. Furthermore, we recently came across an unreported tale about the actor that merely demonstrates how kind-hearted he is towards everyone.

Famous comedian Sunil Pal shared his experience working directly and closely with Shah Rukh Khan in an interview with the well-known news portal. Sunil recalled a specific incident and related how SRK used to secretly visit a staff member who lived in a slum.

He said, “With Shah Rukh I also remember one of his staff members used to stay in my neighbouring slum. He used to visit him once in 4-6 months during special occasions. But he used to come quietly late night, sit for 10-15 minutes with them and leave.”

Sunil Pal added, “I went for a tour to Singapore where Morani brothers paid me 20000. There was a show held in a stadium there and I remember after the event Shah Rukh introduced every artist including me to the audience. Ganesh Hegde was also present there who told me to come to green room and perform in front of SRK. He entered the room with a drink and cigarette in his hand and I started mimicking his popular dialogues in front of him.”

In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, Sunil Pal revealed that he had the chance to collaborate with Aamir Khan on a Lagaan tour. Sunil recalled the scope of the actor's interest in observing the way the former mimicked Aamir. The comedian also concluded that none of the two superstars has any egos about anything in life after summarising his experiences working with them.

He further added, “These superstars respect artists and their craft. That’s the reason they don’t have an ego. In fact, they are so simple and humble to an extent that Aamir won’t even mind sitting on the floor and casually chatting during discussions”.
