MUMBAI: The case of SSR’s demise is intensifying, and the demand for a CBI enquiry is gaining momentum. The CBI has not taken over the case officially but only on the request of the state government. 

But their investigation is on. To begin with, they filed an FIR where they named Rhea, Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi as the prime suspects in the case. 

Now, as per media reports the CBI has also investigated more key players in the case but is not revealing their identity for security purposes. They are crucial people with respect to the actor's death.

They have also accessed the diary of the Bihar Police, who had also investigated this case for a while. 

But the post mortem and the viscera report have not been submitted, as the forensic team of CBI is waiting for the official announcement of SC to take over the case.

The Supreme Court will be giving its verdict today or on Monday, and we will finally come to know whether the CBI or Mumbai Police will be investigating the case. 

Lets not forget that the CBI is investigating the case on the Centre's order.
