Sushant Singh Rajput’s Family Lawyer Reacts To Rhea Chakraborty’s ‘Facing Consequences Of Love’ Statement: ‘Don't Understand How Love Angle Can Help’

MUMBAI : Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is being investigated by the CBI. After an alleged drug angle surfaced, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had been probing the matter, and on Friday, the agency arrested prime accused Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda. Later, Sushant’s staffer Dipesh Sawant was also arrested on Saturday, and the NCB has been granted his custody till September 9. Yesterday, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde had released a statement saying that if loving someone is a crime, she will face the consequences of her love. Now, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer says he doesn’t understand how the love angle can help Rhea. 

Rhea Chakraborty had appeared before NBC on Sunday for questioning in the drugs case. Her lawyer Satish Maneshinde has released a statement saying that Rhea is ready for arrest as it is a witch hunt. Republic quoted him saying, “If loving someone is a crime she’ll face consequences of her love. Being innocent she hasn’t approached any court for an anticipatory bail in all cases foisted by Bihar Police with CBI, ED & NCB." Now reacting to this, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh's representative Varun Singh told Republic, how it’s a strange argument, stating love can protect her from court of law, and that the love angle may not be able to help her should she speak all this in the court.

Varun Singh told Republic,“ If she may not be able to answer properly during the confrontation then she may be arrested soon. It's a strange argument that stating love can protect her from a court of law. I don't understand how the love angle can help her if she thinks so she should go to court and speak all this. Can't say anything on the drugs angle until and unless it is proved in court, but yes if there is anything such then it's gonna help us."

Meanwhile, yesterday, India Today reported that Rhea Chakraborty confessed that she was procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput through her brother Showik. The actress has been summoned again and will appear before the NCB again today.
