Tamasha is one of the best movies of them together directed beautifully by Imtiaz Ali and the film has some iconic scenes of the two that speak volumes of the comfort they share on screen. Reflecting on the same, Imtiaz Ali mentioned, ‘We were shooting this at a studio. It was a stage that we created and a lot of work had happened but this frame where he would enter from a certain place and he would enter from another place and they would be looking at each other from a very close distance. It’s a very difficult shot for actors to play because you are seeing them so close and one can’t formulate exactly what your reaction will be when you come so close to another person who belongs to the gender you are attracted to. It was a warm experience for all of us to watch.’

He further said that the media who comment on them having an affair is because of their love for the acting. Further the director spoke about their love for working with each other that the camera captures. He concluded by saying how these two actors love acting with each other and that's seen in every frame.
