Tanvie Kishore draws rave reviews for her Marathi movie Bhatukali

Tanvie Kishore
Sagar Ballary's Bhatukali which opened on Friday last week all across Maharashtra has been raking in big moolah at the box-office. With critics rating the movie highly, people are making beeline to their nearby theaters to catch this family drama thereby resulting in housefull shows at maximum theaters. While senior actors like Ajinkya Deo, who plays the lead, have certainly garnered applause for their masterly performance, one actress who has received special attention and appreciation for her acting chops is Tanvie Kishore. This light eyed beauty's arresting appearance and performance has been captivating movie goers all around. With praise pouring in from all quarters, it's celebration time for Tanvie and rightly so. "The audience reaction has stunned us. This is more than what we expected. Six days of continuous housefull status in 70% theaters is overwhelming to say the least," says an elated Tanvie. Talking about her role in the movie, Tanvie says, "I play a cute adorable girl who loves to doll up all the time. She loves dancing and charms everyone with her smile. She represents today's college going girl and completely loves her family." What makes Tanvie more happy is the fact that her own performance in the movie has received high praise and acclaim from all important quarters. Tanvie who plays Ajinkya Deo's daughter, brought tears to the eyes of many middle aged and older fathers who started missing their own daughters. "I have been flooded with compliments and many fathers told me that my performance made them miss their own daughters," reveals Tanvie with a hint of some pride. And it is not just the aam junta who have been heaping praises, even critics too, have lauded Tanvie for her flawless appealing look and skilled performance in the movie. While Marathi cinema has seen many beautiful faces, Tanvie is one actress whose sophistication seamlessly blends with the traditional and cultural norms. Born in Bahrain and raised in Dubai and Sharjah where she completed her schooling from, acting happened accidentally in Tanvie's life while she was doing college in Pune. Tanvie's big break happened when she landed a crucial role in Ekta Kapoor's first Marathi serial Majhiya Priyala Preet Kalena. "Balaji thought I totally justified the role of a New Jersey return NRI girl as they couldn't find anyone else to play that role from the Marathi industry," says Tanvie. Since then, there has been no looking back for this beautiful actress. As a linguist who is well versed in 11 different languages including French and Japanese, Tanvie is not averse to doing roles outside Indian cinema as well. Bollywood too, is on her radar and she is looking for important and meaningful roles in Hindi cinema. As for now, the pretty lass is basking in the glory that the success of Bhatukali is continuing to bring in. She is also gearing up for her upcoming release named Bikers Adda, where she plays a biker chick and will be seen riding sports bikes at breakneck speed. Now, that's something to watch out for, we say.
