Tricolor Productions’ The Light: Swami Vivekananda is being readied for an early release. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, the makers of the film pay a tribute to Swamiji, through this film.
The movie shows the transition from young Narendra Nath Datta to world preacher Swami Vivekananda. Different events from his life starting from childhood days to meeting with the mystic saint Ramakrishna at Dakshineswar, Vivekananda's travel to Northern India, travel to the West (America, Europe), meeting with Sister Nivedita, and his works in India have been captured, thereby building his journey from being Narendranath to Vivekananda in bits and pieces.
Directed by Tutu Sinha, the film portrays the life history of Swami Vivekananda with some told and untold stories and his journey in search of God. The film shows the transformation of the young restless child to a matured individual who sacrificed the worldly pleasures for the sake of God.
The film, that has Deep Bhattacharya essaying the role of the Swami, also stars Gargi Roy Choudhury, Premankur Chattopadhyay, Courtney Stephens, Biswajit Chakraborty, Piyali Mitra, Archita Sahu and Sayak Chakraborty in pivotal roles.
Made under the banner of Tricolor Productions Pvt. Ltd, the first look of the film The Light: Swami Vivekananda has been released.
