The Oscars 2014, 86th Academy Awards: Full list of Winners
The 86th Academy Award that unfolded in the United States made for a thriller. Almost reminiscent of an Indo-Pak match, the Oscars threw up a well deserved surprise when 12 Years a Slave piped the impregnable Gravity to win the Best film award. No wonder Steve McQueen who had been watching the entire show from the sidelines, did an impromptu jig when he went on to collect his Oscars on stage. The rest of the event unfolded in predictable fashion with Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett winning the Best Actor and Best Actress award respectively. Sorry Leo, your long wait for an Oscar continues. The best parting shot came from Matthew McConaughey though who quipped, "Amen. All right, all right, all right.” We’re off to get our O-shot."
