MUMBAI : Not many might know this but the 2002 release Boom starring Amitabh Bachchan, Padma Lakshmi, Katrina Kaif and others, failed at the box office due to being pirated before its release. During the chat show Koffee With Karan, Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha, who was the producer of the film, said that the film’s pirated copy circulated much before it’s release and thus no distributor was ready to distribute the film. Due to this, they suffered heavy losses.

Jackie and his family went bankrupt and had to put their house on lease, which they unfortunately lost later. Ayesha said that when Tiger joined the film industry he promised his mother that he would buy the house back with his money. Eventually the young star bought a new house for his family.
In another interview, Tiger said that he still remembered he was 11 years old when their family was in heavy debt, one thing after another was sold in the house and as a child he couldn’t do much to help out his parents in any way.

On the work front, Tiger will next be seen in the action film Ganapath opposite his Heropanti actress Kriti Sanon. He also has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay kumar.
