Veena Malik says "no" to masala films

Known for her remarkable entry in Bigg Boss Season 4 (Colors), where she was a housemate with the likes of Manoj Tiwari, Dolly Bindra and Samir Soni among others, Pakistani actress Veena Malik has announced her retirement from masala movies. The actress, who has a couple of nondescript Hindi films under her belt like Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai and Super Model among others, made this announcement at Mecca after performing Umrah. Malik, who married Dubai-based Pakistani businessman Asad Bashir Khan last year, performed Umrah with her husband and his family. However she would continue to act in films with religious and social messages. “As far as the entertainment industry is concerned, I will continue to engage in any project which aims for welfare or social development. But I will not be part of any new films from here on,” she has reportedly said. It is said that Veena changed her lifestyle after coming in contact with Maulana Tariq Jameel.
