MUMBAI: Do Aur Do Pyaar is a movie that has got the audience highly excited and the teaser which was released in the month of January, really promised a good and unique storyline with never-seen-before on-screen pairings.

As everyone has been eagerly awaiting this romantic comedy, movie buffs will not let this chance pass them by. The film opened in theatres today. Naturally, the cast, which includes Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D'Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, has the crowd excited. Although the trailer provided us a decent notion of the plot, the movie still has a lot to give, we promise.

In an exclusive interview with Vidya Balan prior to the release of her film, Do Aur Do Pyaar, the avant-garde actor opened up on many industry bigwigs being unwilling to back women-centric movies post lockdown, but how the success of Crew seems to have changed all that.

We got to watch Crew, a female-led movie which worked. Is this an exception of a norm or is this going to be the norm that now scripts are going to be written and then it will be decided whether it is for male actors or female actors?

To this, Vidya Balan said, “I think this is the beginning of a new phase for sure. I was worried in between after the pandemic because there were a lot of people who were not willing to back female-led films because they felt that there is a bigger risk involved but with Crew working in the way it has and the way the film is, I just feel happy that it has worked so well. It’s just a sign of time to come.”

This was our conversation with Vidya Balan before the release of Do Aur Do Pyaar.
