Taking to his Twitter handle, a journalist shared a thread of tweets talking about what separates actors from the ‘outside’ from other privileged ones. Sharing his personal experience, Soumyadipta shared a story that dates back to May 2012 when he joined a media group as Bureau Chief in Mumbai.

He mentioned that his brief was to work with a newly formed team in Kolkata which was launching a Bengali newspaper and revealed how the stakes were high for him and even work pressure. The media group executive continued to share how at that time, his mother was suffering from terminal stage cancer. Sharing his story further, Soumyadipta mentioned that it was a very difficult time for him to run around for the treatment of his mother and rise up to the challenge of launching a newspaper in a market.

Amidst all the issues, Soumyadipta shared that it was the time when Durga Puja was fast approaching and him along with his team decided to launch a special Puja edition with the perfect 'Bengali' face in Bollywood. After many editorial meetings, the media group executive shared that the Kolkata team decided to move over all Bengali actresses in Mumbai and voted overwhelmingly for a Tamil actress, who was none other than Vidya Balan.

During all of this, Soumyadipta’s mother breathed her last and he rushed to Kolkata as his world became grey and blurred. Then, Soumyadipta received a message from Vidya Balan asking him how he was. The media group executive then revealed how he shared the complications of the special photoshoot project with Vidya Balan.

When Vidya Balan and her creative team tried helping the grieving man with his work, Soumyadipta shared how he started feeling better because of the actress and revealed that the dark thoughts that clouded his mind vanished. Later the man shared that Vidya’s team contacted him and mentioned that the actress had got meals for everyone and begun shooting for the photoshoot.

Soumyadipta revealed that a day after the shoot, he received the sample pictures. He shared that the photographer refused to take credits for the picture as a leading Bollywood actress went to such lengths to get a photoshoot done. He shared that he wondered why Vidya Balan cancelled her film's shooting and submitted the final pictures within five days when the deadline was seven and mentioned he didn’t know how to thank her.

Needless to say, Vidya Balan’s act of kindness shared by the man speaks of the goodness in her heart. Soumyadipta also mentioned that after Vidya Balan, he heard of such empathy in only another Bollywood actor, i.e late Sushant Singh Rajput.
