MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi firmly believes that a person's home environment reflects their uniqueness. He recently shared the interiors of his Mumbai home, which he and his wife, Priyanka Alva Oberoi, deliberately designed to reflect their shared existence, in an interview with a popular portal. The residence is decorated in the Goan farmhouse style.

Vivek began the tour by introducing Kamadhenu, his beloved cow, and talking about how her presence gives the residents a feeling of a rustic, village atmosphere. He said, “This place belongs more to her than to me. The scent of the cowshed transports you from the city to a quaint village.”
The home, adorned with wooden furniture, elegant chandeliers, prominent portraits of Goddess Lakshmi, and an abundance of indoor plants, radiates a farmhouse aura, aligning with the actor’s aim. He explained their philosophy of sustainability and deep connection, saying, “The idea was for this home to originate from Priyanka and me, embodying our lives. When purchasing this house, we wanted it to mirror Goa. Inside, it captures the very essence of farmhouse living.”
While navigating the living room and bedroom, Vivek highlighted their antique collection, sharing his affection for historically rich items. He pointed to the bedroom’s antique bed, noting its long-standing presence in Priyanka’s family and his own sentimental attachment to it. “This bed, present in Priyanka’s family for decades, evokes my cherished memories of coziness and security from childhood stories shared by my grandmother.”
Vivek highlighted the tall, lush trees that frame the expansive house windows as further proof of their aim to blend nature with architectural design. As he wrapped up the tour in his garden, he confessed that he liked the unique charm of its rustic flaws, such as exposed pipes and a tap.
As he considered his transition from an illusionary lifestyle to one of authenticity, Vivek said, “In the film industry, where everything is designed to be ostentatious, I return home not as actor Vivek Oberoi, but simply as myself.”
Recently, Vivek Oberoi was seen in the Indian Police Force Series on Amazon Prime Video. The web series is a spinoff of renowned police franchise director Rohit Shetty, which features films like Sooryavanshi, Simmba, and Singham, among others. Among the impressive cast were Shilpa Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra, and Isha Talwar.
