Bollywood grapevine is abuzz with rumours of Vivek Oberoi having been signed to play a cop in Sanjay Gupta’s untitled next. And his role is apparently inspired from the life of senior cop Vijay Salaskar who was gunned down by terrorist in the dastardly attack on Mumbai.
Vivek who worked with Sanjay Gupta in the past in Shootout at Lokhandwala will be teaming up again with the maverick director after a long while. Reportedly, relations between the two had soured when Vivek refused to act in Shootout at Wadala. Sources say that the two recently met and hugged each other at a party and agreed to let bygones be bygones and begin afresh. We texted Vivek to find out more about the news but the actor chose not to reply.
Meanwhile, the actor was seen yesterday playing with cancer patients for whom he had organized a special screening of The Amazing Spiderman 2’s Hindi version in which he has lent his voice to Jamie Foxx’s character Electro.
Talking about his experience of lending a voice to a villainous Hollywood character, Vivek said, “ Heroes are boring because they are one-dimensional. And the fact that it was Jamie Foxx who is the villain in this movie is what ultimately motivated me to lend my voice to the Hindi version.”
Well, we are sure you do have the voice to make people quake in their boots, Vivek.
