On the red carpet, Sushant was questioned if he would have personally called up Ankita after seeing her look from Manikarnika. The Kedarnath actor made it clear that his conversation online was personal and literal.
Ankita will debut in Bollywood with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and play the important role of Jhalakaribai, the aide of Rani Lakshmibai.
When the couple broke up in May 2016, the reason was assumed to be the drinking habits of the actress. But Sushant clarified that the actress was not an alcoholic.
