MUMBAI : Bollywood cinema will always be proud of one of its greatest actors, Irrfan Khan. We will always remember the late actor for his ability to speak with his eyes and his unique acting skills.
Recently, Radhikka Madan, Irrfan's last co-star, recalled their time together on the 2020 movie Angrezi Medium. In a recent interview, Radhikka Madan talked about her experience acting out a drunken scene on the Angrezi Medium sets with Irrfan Khan.
Radhikka revealed that she was asked by director Homi Adajania to play a drunkard with more emotion. At first, the Sarfira actress was unable to convince Irrfan despite her drunken behavior.
Talking about the preparation for her scene, the Angrezi Medium actress said, "Irrfan sir came on set and unhone bola, 'jhuth hai, main pakad loonga (Irrfan sir came on set and said it looks fake, I will catch it)."
In the same interview, Radhikka Madan reminisced about preparing for the scene so that her acting looked convincing to the late actor. Radhikka expressed that she reached a level of "drunkenness" where Irrfan Khan got confused and couldn't make out if the actress was drunk or not.
"We reached a place where he was like, 'I am not sure' and that's what we rolled," she added.
During the filming of Angrezi Medium, Radhikka Madan expressed regret in a recent interview for not spending more time with Irrfan Khan. Radhikka claimed that she saw Irrfan as her father because she was busy with working on her character. "I thought I would have a lot of time with him to discuss movies, acting, and craft once after the film, but he was going through so much," she expressed.
Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and died On April 29, 2020.
In the meantime, Radhikka Madan most recently starred as Akshay Kumar's on-screen wife in the film Sarfira.
