MUMBAI: The entire nation woke up to the shocking news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. The actor had committed suicide at his home in Mumbai. The news sent shockwaves in the entertainment industry and no one could understand what had happened. 

Reports suggest that the actor was battling depression from the past 6 months and was on medication. One of the reasons stated for this is that he was suddenly side-lined by the Bollywood industry which had a tremendous effect on the actor. Sushant was supposed to work with Mr. Bhansali since the time of Ram Leela but things never worked out and Ranveer Singh replaced the actor.

Going back to the time when Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic period drama Padmaavat, which starred Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor had to face the wrath for its controversial storyline, the Rajput organisation - Shree Rajput Karni Sena vandalized the sets of the film and misbehaved with filmmaker. The Late actor had then dropped his surname to condemn the attack. 

The actor had said that he is condemning the attack and he is a Rajput till his last breath, but he is against violence and he stands by the director. 

Sushant in many of his interviews said that it was his dream to work with Mr. Bhansali but unfortunately, things never worked out for him. After showing his support to the director, the actor didn’t get anything, but was shown the reality and the dark side of Bollywood which left him lonely and bitter.

The actor was laid to rest yesterday where a few friends from the world of Bollywood and television had attended the funeral.
