MUMBAI: Actor Abhishek Bachchan has reportedly sold a luxury apartment in a nearly completed mixed-use skyscraper 'Three Sixty West' in Mumbai’s Worli locality, for Rs 45.75 crore.

Reportedly, Bachchan had bought this apartment in the project, which is being developed by Oberoi Realty, in November 2014 for Rs 41.14 crore.

This is the same project where veteran banker and former MD & CEO of IndusInd Bank Romesh Sobti recently bought two sea-view apartments for over Rs 76.30 crore. This project has seen several industrialists and high-profile professionals picking up properties.

The flat has a view of the Arabian Sea and is on the 37th floor of Tower B. The buyer of this 7,527-sqft apartment will get exclusive access to four car parks.

It also reported that Junior B has paid a huge amount for stamp duty of Rs 2.28 crore on the deal.

Bachchan, who has starred in films such as Refugee, Zameen and Dhoom, among others, bought the apartment in 2014 for Rs 41.14 crore.

'Three Sixty West' by Oberoi Realty is an under-construction project containing 4BHK and 5BHK units. It comprises two towers; one would be housing 'The Ritz-Carlton Hotel' and the other will have luxury residences managed by the global hospitality chain.

The sea-view project presumably gets its name because its height is 360 meters. All apartments face the west.

In May this year, Abhishek’s father, actor Amitabh Bachchan, bought a 5,184 sq ft property in Mumbai worth Rs 31 crore in a project 'Atlantis' by a Tier-2 builder, Crystal Group, according to registration documents accessed by a property portal.

Bachchan Senior bought the property in December 2020 but registered it only in April 2021. He paid a stamp duty of Rs 62 lakh, which is 2 per cent of Rs 31 crore, taking advantage of the Maharashtra government’s stamp duty waiver of 2 per cent until March 31, 2021.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in The Big Bull, based on the life of tainted stockbroker Harshad Mehta. It was directed and co-written by Kookie Gulati while Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, Vikrant Sharma and Kumar Mangat Pathak were the producers.

Abhishek’s upcoming releases include Dasvi and Bob Biswas.
