MUMBAI :  Recently, Jaya Bachchan had appeared as a guest on her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, where she made headlines for saying that she doesn’t have a problem if her granddaughter has a child out of wedlock. She further said that physical attraction is also important, and that relationships can’t last on love and adjustment. Now, Navya has addressed these comments made by her grandmother, saying that the whole point of her podcast is to have a safe space for women to talk about anything, without holding back.

In a recent interview, Navya said that she has an episode where they talk about women's health and hygiene. According to her, when you create an environment where you can talk freely about relationships and friendships without judgement and where one doesn't feel uncomfortable. “Conversation was easy and I stepped outside my comfort zone,” she said.

“I think that when you are putting yourself out there, you have to understand that something that you are sharing with the world, your opinions, people may agree, people may disagree, but I think that the purity and motivation behind this podcast have really nice fun intelligent conversations,” Navya told a news portal.

During the podcast, Jaya shared that it is important that people experiment with their relationships so that they know whether they are compatible enough to share the rest of their lives together. She also added that in her time, they didn’t have much opportunity to experiment as compared to today's generation.

She went on to say that if you had a physical relationship and still feel that the relationship is not working out, they should be okay with it. Sharing her advice to the younger generation, she said that one should marry their best friend, one whom you can discuss with and say that I would like to have a child with you because I like you and let's get married. She added that even if Navya has a child without a marriage, she doesn't have a problem.
