After getting a big Bollywood debut in Karan Johar's film Student Of The Year, Alia Bhatt set the silver screen on fire with her performance in Imtiaz Ali's movie Highway. Alia's performance was immensely appreciated by the moviegoers and the film critics. Alia Bhatt was seen in the character of a girl who discovered freedom after getting kidnapped from her house. The film also had actors like Randeep Hooda, Pradeep Nagar, Samar Mudasir Bakshi, and a few others.

Dear Zindagi

Meghna Gulzar's Raazi is another film where Alia received a huge appreciation for her performance in the film. Alia played an undercover agent of the Research and Analysis Wing. The film was also a critical success and Alia received praise from the film critics for her performance. Alia received the best actress award for her performance in the film. 

Gully Boy

Alia Bhatt played the love interest of Ranveer Singh in the movie Gully Boy. The film was directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The film revolves around Ranveer Singh's struggle about becoming India's top rapper. Alia's character as Ranveer's possessive girlfriend was hugely loved by the fans and the moviegoers. Alia's one-liners from the film too went viral on the social media platforms from the time the dialogue promos of the film were released.
