Wow! Twinkle Khanna's response to Naseeruddin Shah calling her father a poor actor is UNMISSABLE

MUMBAI: Naseeruddin Shah is no doubt one of the finest talents we have in Bollywood; the actor is known to speak his mind. At various events and in the media, the actor has been very local about his thoughts on various issues. The Maqbool actor also doesn't shy away from voicing his thought on the content creation in Bollywood. Back in 2016, Naseeruddin Shah had claimed mediocrity came into the Hindi film industry in the '70s.

In an interview with a leading newspaper, Naseeruddin Shah had also called the late superstar Rajesh Khanna a "poor actor". Following his remark against the deceased actor, Rajesh Khanna's daughter Twinkle Khanna slammed the veteran actor. Talking to the leading media portal, the veteran actor had said, "It was the 70’s when mediocrity came in Hindi films. That’s when the actor called Rajesh Khanna joined the industry. For all his success, I think Mr Khanna was a very limited actor. In fact, he was a poor actor. Intellectually, he wasn’t the most alert person I have ever met. His taste ruled the industry quality of the script, acting, music and lyrics deteriorated. Colour came in. You could make a heroine wear a purple dress and hero a red shirt, go to Kashmir and make a movie. You didn’t need a story."

He had further mentioned that the aforementioned trend continued and according to him, Rajesh Khanna had something to do with it as he was considered "God" back in the day.

Coming to Twinkle's reaction, the actress took to her Twitter hand and wrote, "Sir if u can't respect the living ,respect the dead-mediocrity is attacking a man who can't respond." Post that, Shah apologised for his remark about the late superstar and told India Today, "I apologise to those who were personally offended, and my intention was not to attack him (Rajesh Khanna)." 

After the actor apologised, Twinkle Khanna let off the matter and tweeted, "All due regard toMrShah's reality,mine=a man who loved cinema& did films like Anand, AmarPrem, KatiPatang thank u folks for all the love." At the same time, Twinkle's husband Rajesh Khanna's son-in-law Akshay Kumar didn't elaborate much on the matter and just said the matter was over after Shah issued an apology. 

Meanwhile, Naseeruddin Shah has been a part of various Hindi films like A Wednesday, The Dirty Picture, Mohra, Krrish, Sarfarosh, Iqbal, Masoom, China Gate, Chaahat, Mandi, Katha, and more.
