Wow! YRF to host dual celebration on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday; Pathaan teaser digital launch and the screening of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in select theatres

MUMBAI:   The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday is closing in soon, and people everywhere are enthusiastic about it. And to add to the excitement, the teaser of his upcoming 2023 film Pathaan will be released on his birthday. The star's birthday is on the 2nd of November which is a Wednesday. The movie has had a lot of hype, and fans everywhere are excited for the release of Pathaan. It is being produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.

To top it all, YRF has planned another surprise for Shah Rukh Khan's birthday. A source revealed that, "YRF will re-release Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on November 2. It is the longest running film in the history of cinema. And it’s produced by YRF. Hence, they felt that it'll be a fine ode to the star and a treat to the fans."

SRK’s film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which was released on October 20, 1995, has been continuously playing in Mumbai's Maratha Mandir cinema for almost 27 years, except during the lockdown. The source continued, "Besides Maratha Mandir, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on November 2 will be screened in several PVR properties across the country. What's more, the rates will be nominal and tickets for most shows will be available for Rs. 100 and Rs. 112. The bookings have already begun online. At present, PVR theatres in 8 cities, namely, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune and Surat have begun bookings. More cities will be added in the days to come. Also, the plan is to increase shows in the aforementioned 8 cities."

Looks like fans are going to have a blast on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday. Fans will not only be able to enjoy Pathaan's teaser digitally, but also be able to watch Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on the big screen.

Other than SRK, Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It will be directed by Siddharth Anand and is also a part of YRF's spy universe. Salman Khan will also be reprising the role of Tiger in Pathaan, which releases in cinemas on January 25, 2023.
