Akshay to begin studio shoot for Master Chef soon

Akshay Kumar has just finished shooting for a promo of Master Chef on Star Plus and was also part of the auditions; however he is likely to start shooting studio episodes from the second week of September. A source from the show says, "We have been holding auditions at N D Studios, Karjat. Akshay was part of it for for only two days. He also shot a promo which will go on air sometime next month. Our team is selecting the final 14 contestants, though the final number of contestants can increase. The first schedule for the studio episodes will start on September 11 or 13." Akshay will host as well as judge various recipes prepared by the contestants. “There are two more judges – Ajay Chopra and Kunal Kapoor. They are professional chefs who will also be part of the judging process. They will give numbers to every contestant at the end of every episode. We will shoot studio episodes at Film City where we have constructed a huge set." The show is expected to go on air by end of September or early October. Initially it was to air in September but Akshay is busy shooting for Farah Khan’s film Tees Maar Khan too.
