Benaf Dadachanji , better known as Baby of Baa Bahoo Aur Baby seems to be in a holiday mood as she is enjoying her free time after the popular show went off air last month. While she is sad about the show being suddenly off air, she is happy about her much-needed break. “Initially when we came back with the second season, BBAB was supposed to be a daily so we shot accordingly. However, some time before it was launched, the authorities decided to make it a weekly. To be very honest, the needs of a weekly audience are completely different and they want more of comedy, humour and less of drama. So we stumbled at the beginning. To make matters worse, the channel changed our time slot too often without making enough effort to make the audience aware of those changes. These things are very important for a show and I do not know why the show wasn’t given its due importance,” says an annoyed Benaf. But the actress seems to have taken it in her stride and says sportingly, "It's alright since we had a long successful journey of five years and had a really great time. We were back with season 2 on public demand and not too many shows can boast of that privilege." Benaf cannot stop talking about the show that gave her fame. "My fondest memories from the show are about the relationships I have developed with my co-actors. Everyone in BBAB is very dear to me and they are all just a phone call away. When I started this show five years back, I was the youngest in the Baa family and everyone from the director to the spot boys pampered me!" she reminisces. What does she think about the new crop of actors? "Nowadays actors are debuting on the screen at a very young age. They are good, confident and earning money at such a young age, which is commendable.” And her future plans? "Right now, I am not thinking beyond a two-month holiday, will start thinking of my career after that. I have been to Goa and very soon will be going to Philippines with my family and then will be off to Egypt with my friends. So I have loads of fun awaiting me," she says, unable to conceal the excitement in her voice. She adds she hasn’t yet thought of doing a daily show. “I may be interested in hosting a reality show or being a contestant in a dance-based reality show. When you are getting paid to learn something new, why not?” There are also whispers about her looking for an international project or a documentary.
