Madhuri leaves Vidya smiling

Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan shot a special episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa with her No One Killed Jessica co-star Rani Mukerji. And though the two actresses were there to promote their film, they appeared in traditional ‘Indian’ look for the episode. So unlike her dowdy, spectacle ‘Sabrina Lal’ look in the film Vidya was dressed in a majenta pink and bottle green Sabyasachi sari. “They wanted us to look traditional as the dance round was all about Indian dance forms. So they wanted Madhuri Dixit, Rani and me on the same stage in our Indian glory,” smiles Vidya. She says she had a great time with Madhuri. “In fact, Madhuri, Rani and I danced a lot on the show. But since the shoot was continuous there was no time at all to discuss other things with her. But her charm is something else! She is the youngest legend of our industry if I can call her that.” Interestingly, Vidya’s sari designer wove a special sari for her “simply because I was meeting Madhuri. She had mentioned somewhere that she had loved me in Ishqiya and thought I carried them off very well. So Sabya (Sabyasachi) thought my sari should be special. She is not only beautiful but is very humble. Or else why would she compliment me, she need not have. I was smiling the whole day I read that interview of hers.” Well, we are sure, looking at the special Jhalak episode with the terrific three actresses, the viewers too will be smiling some more!
