When Divyajotee Sharma took her mom shopping little did she know that it would end in the hospital. The actress who is currently seen as Kali in Star Plus’s Raja Ki Aayegi Barat was out shopping at Lokhandwala and after coming out of a shop she called her driver to get the car. She was accompanied by her mother who is 83 years old, and she was taking care of her while crossing the road. Suddenly a biker hit her and she turned around and fell on her elbow. She got up and took some time to realise what had happened. She then left for home, but her elbow was hurting badly. After reaching home she could no more bear the pain and immediately rushed to a hospital where she had to undergo an emergency operation. Divyajotee who is still recovering says, “When I got an X-ray done, I was very shocked to know that I had fractured my elbow. I was admitted to the hospital immediately and had to undergo a major elbow surgery with implants in my elbow. I was in a lot of pain.” She adds, “I can’t believe that such things can happen to me too. The biker managed to flee after hurting me. I had to leave my show Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and have not shot for it since a month. I am really thankful to God that the current track was not focusing on me. There was a track revolving around me since 4-5 months which just got over a couple of days before the accident.” Divyajyoti has also done serials like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Left Right Left and movies like De Taali, Shaurya, Fox. With hit and run cases like this multiplying we indeed need to be cautious when crossing streets. We hope to Divyajyoti back on the show soon.
