Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) has become strict with the shoot timings for actors and production units but Vikrant Massey has been putting in more hours than required. The Association recently put forward a rule saying the production houses and actors are not to work for more than 12 hours a day but Vikrant works for 20.
At present, he is doing two shows, Balika Vadhu and Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo, which leaves him with no time at all.
"Association rules have definitely changed and one is not permitted to work for more than 12 hours a day but I have got the permission. I had submitted a notice to the board and they sanctioned it. So, now I am shooting nine hours for Balika Vadhu and nine for Baba…There are days when I work for only eight to nine hours, that’s when I am shooting just one show," says Vikrant.
When asked how he manages to shoot for so many hours he says, "I am an insomniac and three hours of sleep works for me. But, I am working on changing my habit." So, how true is the buzz that he may be quitting Balika Vadhu? He says, “No comments."
Looks like Vikrant follows the ‘work hard today so you can sleep well tomorrow’ mantra.
