Top Bollywood Movies 2015

After presenting readers with the top TV shows of this year as part of our Year Ender section, we now get you the list of top movies of 2015!

The classic confusion every Bollywood faces at the end of a year is whether to term a hit as a good movie or a plot-rich flick as a good watch. Hmm. We won’t get into that debate, but here are the top ten movies of this year that you should watch:

ABCD 2:
From making non-dancers to dance to upping the commercial value by many notches, the second edition of Remo D’Souza’s ambitious flick made a huge mark at the BO.

Baahubali:
For the sheer grandeur and magnificence, this period drama made us fall head over heels. It’s no wonder that we are eagerly waiting for the sequel.

Baby:
Akshay Kumar’s action-packed thriller had us at the edge of the seat. It also worked that there were few songs, more drama and a no-nonsense hero in the lead.

Bajirao Mastani:
A period drama that’s also a love triangle. Also, it stars three of the hottest stars of the industry, helmed by the baap of extravagant movies. Need more reasons to watch the saga of a Maratha warrior and his lover? No, didn’t think so.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan:
Salman Khan’s magnum hit saw him in a hatke role. As the do-gooder who takes a lost Pakistani child back to her parents. It won at the box office and also our hearts.

Dilwale:
It brings together Raj and Simran in a more matured and challenging form. While we still don’t know what the plot is about, we can safely say that it will one of the blockbuster hits of this year.

Drishyam:
A thriller with a neat twist in the climax, this south remake gave us goose bumps for sure.

Piku:
Deepika Padukone played the ideal daughter to a T in this family drama. From caring for her father to choosing him over her love life, she played a modern woman steeped in traditions.

Tamasha:
A charismatic love story, told in non-linear fashion, hit the right chords with the audiences. From the lead actors’ chemistry to their lust-worthy wardrobe to the exotic locales, it’s the perfect holiday movie of 2015.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns:
The second instalment of TWM saw two Kangna Ranauts! Yes, she played the dual role of Tanu and Kusum, both as different as chalk and cheese. It goes without saying that the actress aced both roles like a pro.

Take your pick, readers!
