Rafi Malik to play the lead in Rajan Shahi's next for Star Plus

Producer-Director Rajan Shahi is a master when it comes to unearthing new talents and presenting them in challenging characters. He is now working on two projects, one for Star Plus and the other for Sony Pal. And we hear that the handsome Rafi Malik, the model turned actor who grabbed limelight in the role of Rajveer Raghuvanshi in Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini, has bagged the lead role in Rajan Shahi’s upcoming show for Star Plus. Well, it’s already reported in media that Dhruv Bhandari, son of noted actor Mohan Bhandari will play the male lead, while Heeba Nawab of Crazy Stupid Ishq fame will essay the female lead. The show will also have Gautami Kapoor, playing the role of a mother. Now, it is Rafi who joins the cast as the other male lead. However, when contacted, Rafi said, “Rajan sir is a good friend and we keep talking. Talking about offers, I have 2-3 shows for which I have been short listed. Let’s see what materializes.” We dropped a text message to Producer Rajan Shahi about the same, but did not get any revert till the time of filing the article.
