I am glad my husband Yash convinced me to do Qubool Hai post the leap - Amrapali Gupta

Amrapali Gupta
Playing mother to a man much elder to you in age is not an easy task, but Amrapali Gupta of Qubool Hai (4 Lions Films) fame has been doing it with ease. The actress has also been essaying the role of the blind elderly woman in the serial with complete dexterity. When asked if essaying a blind woman gets taxing given the fact she can see in real life she stated, “I have donned different shades in Qubool Hai as Tanveer and there had to be some change post the leap and that’s when the lack of eyesight came into the picture. I look at this as an opportunity. How many people really get to play a character like this?” You also play Karanvir Bohra’s mother. Weren’t you skeptical about it? “I was completely unsure about it. He is quite elder and senior to me and I didn’t know if I’d want to play his mother but then my husband (Yash Sinha) played an important part here. He told me it was an opportunity and I went ahead with it. I am extremely happy with this decision because Tanveer today has become the most important part of Qubool Hai. I am glad Yash convinced me to do the show post the lap.” Does Karanvir ever joke about you playing his mother? “Not at all. In fact he says that I am a real hot mom (laughs). His parents too praise me a lot for my character.” Keep up the good work Amrapali.
