MUMBAI: Pardeep Singh Toor is known for his work in Zee Punjabi shows including Tedha Medha Sadda Vedha and Dildariyan, where he immersed himself in Punjabi-language drama. He later transitioned to Hindi television with Zee TV’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya. He is currently seen as Sunny in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Tu Juliet Jatt Di, produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment. Being a Punjabi Jatt, the show feels like home to him.
"Being a Punjabi Jatt, Punjab lives in my heart, and every tradition, value, and nuance portrayed in the show resonates deeply with me. The way the series captures the vibrant spirit, warmth, and essence of Punjab feels authentic and close to home," he said.
"It’s more than just culture; it’s a reflection of my identity, emotions, and roots, which made the experience of working on the show very personal and meaningful," he added.
He went on to say that he has never seen a show quite like Tu Juliet Jatt Di before. He said, "Besides the family emotions and conflicts, the story also beautifully captures the college life of the characters and how their relationship develops. It shows how two very different families—the Brars and the Sandhus—with their unique values and backgrounds, come together through this bond."
"Their journey from college romance to marriage, and the drama that follows, creates a fresh and engaging storyline. This mix of youthful energy, family dynamics, and emotional drama makes the show truly unique, authentic, and entertaining," he added.
Pardeep is certain that as the show progresses viewers will get to know a lot about his character. He said, "Sunny is definitely a different character—he has a mysterious nature that keeps you guessing. There is still a lot to uncover about him as the story progresses."
"He can show a darker side, especially when it comes to going after what he wants; he won’t hesitate to fight the whole world to achieve his goals. There’s much more to his personality that viewers will discover, and it’s going to be quite surprising and intriguing," he added.
He also shared that he is enjoying shooting with his co-stars and the crew and especially thanked Ravie and Sargun. He said, "We gelled so well that it never felt like I was just working with co-actors—it felt more like being with family and close friends. We share a lot of fun moments on set, which makes the whole shooting experience enjoyable. The production team has been wonderful and very supportive throughout."
"I would especially like to thank my producers, Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta, for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity. I truly feel grateful to be part of this project with such a dedicated team," Pardeep ended.
