After making B-town divas like Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit dance to her tunes, Saroj Khan has now roped in Aditi Rao Hydari to do a special dance for Mrinal Kulkarni's Marathi period film called Rama Madhav. The dance is a classical based form and reportedly Aditi completed the entire dance sequence in six hours flat.
The movie which is set in the 17th century is based on the life and love story of the legendary warrior of the Maratha empire Peshwa Madhavrao and his wife Rama. Given the fact that it is a period dram, the dressing of the actors reflect the culture of the 17th century. For the song, Saroj needed an actress who could carry off the 17th century look well while dancing to perfection.
Reveals an insider, "The movie will see Aditi dressed in a beautiful classic lehnga choli with exquisite gold jewellery, right from the maang teekas to the round nose rings. Keeping the look in mind and the fact that she needed a beautifully trained classical dancer, Sarojji immediately requested Aditi to do the song, who in turn was only too happy to do it and work once again with her Masterji."
Aditi is believed to have rehearsed well in advance to get her steps right for the classical dance number. And on the day of the shoot, the actress and the legendary choreographer wrapped up the shoot in less than six hours! Now that's surely a task well achieved we say.
