TV celebs and their favourite Bakrid delicacies
Festivals are all about bonding and celebrating with family and friends and food is of course the major factor of connect among Indians. With Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) celebrations having started TV actors talk to Tellychakkar.com about their favourite delicacies during this time. Fahad Ali: First of all Happy Eid to everyone. Celebrate the day with full power. Normally I keep myself away from rice and mutton but on this day I enjoy biryani a lot. I am not a great cook but I have recently learnt chicken stew and sheer korma. As I am shooting for my new show I need your best wishes and love as my Eidi. Aamir Dalvi: My mom cooks a variety of yummy food for us and I relish everything. My favourite among them is raan, bhuna gosht and sheer korma. I have tried my hands on cooking bhuna gosht a number of times and I am looking forward to relish all of these during Eid. I would also like to wish all of you a very Happy Eid. Firoza Khan: Since we practice the ritual of sacrifice at home we hardly get time to enjoy. I am not a biryani person so we try different food like dal gosht and yakhni pulao in Bakrid. We also keep our options open and cook anything we feel like eating day long. It’s the only time when non veg food is relished by everyone so much. Waseem Mushtaq: My favourite delicacy during Bakrid is roasted mutton. I wait all the year round to actually have it in abundance. After that I do start thinking about diet though (laughs). This year I am planning to cook curd mutton for my family and friends. Wish all of you a very Happy Eid. Aamir Ali: I make it a point to enjoy all festivals with family. My mom makes some amazing mutton dishes and I enjoy eating them always. She is super cook. And I can just go eating, can’t cook at all (laughs). Wish all of you a very Happy Eid, have the most of the day eating and celebrating. Falak Naaz: Every foodie waits for this occasion as they get to enjoy a variety of non veg food. My mother cooks really yummy food and all of us enjoy them wholeheartedly. Since I can cook a variety of biryanis, I make it a point to treat my family with them. Also sewaiyan is a trademark dish during Eid and I plan to relish all of it.
