Adah Sharma is one true professional. The actress while in the midst of hectic promotional activity for her debut television serial, Pukaar lost her dear father who passed away due to severe cardiac arrest. Though bereaved, Adah didn't let that come in her way of promotions and was back giving interviews as soon as she could. When we met Adah for a chat, the actress looked composed though we could trance hints of sorrow in her eyes. But that didn't deter her from talking about Pukaar, her debut series that she is super excited about.
Talking about why she signed a TV series in the first place, Adah said, "It was Vipul sir directing it so I had to do it. Also Vipul sir is making it like a film and not like a serial. Plus, Pukaar is not like your typical saas-bahu shows."
Interestingly, Adah will be seen playing an entertainment journalist in Pukaar who also falls in love with armyman Rannvijay. Elaborating on the journalistic traits that her character would exhibit, Adah said, "It was fun playing an entertainment journalist and the media will now have to judge if I have played my part well enough."
Shooting with Vipul and crew also proved to be joyride for Adah. "It was great working with Vipul, Deven, Rannvijay and everyone else. Even Raj (Babbar) sir who is such a senior actor was a really cool person to work with. I had a complete blast shooting for Pukaar."
On the film front, the actress has a busy schedule having signed six films down south. "My first Telugu movie did well and that led to one offer after another and I ended up signing six films now in South."
Bollywood too is not far away. Adah who made her debut with a horror thriller was last seen in Hasee Toh Phasee which by her admission was something she did to avoid getting typecast in horror roles. For the moment, she has landed a lead role in a Hindi film, the details of which she refused to divulge despite our earnest probing.
