In an elimination episode that has many surprises like TV actor Rohit Roy hosting the show in place of Shaan, Lewis singing along with the contestants for the opening song, the Challenge 2005 finalists, Vineet and Himani, perform a duet and where only the SMS and Reliance World votes received are announced at the start of the show, Sharib/Banjyotsna get the sack from the viewers. Sharib and Banjyotsna are the jodi that performed first as per the ratings they received from the Groovy Gurus last week. This episode had the theme “super hits from the year of birth of each participant.” After all the three jodis performed and all the total votes announced, it was clear that Sharib/Banjotsna were not as much favoured by the viewers as opposed to Aishwarya/Ujjaini and Rajeev/Sanchali. The Groovy Gurus wish to know from Sharib/Banjyotsna why they should use the veto for them. Both Sharib/Banjyotsna are unable to convince the Gurus other than saying that they would sing well if given a chance again. The Gurus were firm that they will use this sole veto vote only for consistent performers and ended up requesting for a day to be absolutely clear that they do not take a decision that would be unfair to the other participating jodis. Sharib brokedown crying though Banjyotsna was more composed and left it to the Gurus to decide. But Sharib's prayers were answered by the Groovy Gurus, Leslie Lewis, who later used their second veto power. Last week when Twinkle and Vishwas were voted out, there were speculations that they will be vetoed in as the duo had been a favourite with the Gurus for some time, but surpirisingly they decided otherwise. But this week, the gurus have decided that the veto will be best used on as they have performed consistently well. Interestingly, the couple did not share a good relationship when they had started out on the show, but they seem to have resolves their differences and made an awesome jodi. Meanwhile, Rohit Roy turned out to be the perfect choice to host the show in the absence of Shaan because he gelled well with the participants, Ishitta and the Groovy Gurus. That he is familiar with this shows format also came through as he did not fumble even once. And, he was sporting enough to sing at the end of the show at the Gurus request.
