Unveiling: The 'real' reason behind Rashami Desai's exit from & TV's Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai

Rashami Desai

Rashami Desai, is a household name today courtesy her very popular role of Tapasya in Colors’ successful show, Uttaran. The actress who has showcased her skills in the reality genre too with shows like Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, Comedy Circus 3, Comedy Nights with Kapil was actually one of the first actors to be roped in for Edit II’s upcoming show Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai for the to-be-launched channel, & TV.

However, the truth now is that Rashami is not part of the show anymore, and has been replaced by Saumya Tandon

But why exactly did the replacement happen? Did she opt to move out? Or was she thrown out?

Well, as per a recent media report, Rashami opted out of the show for the very reason that the male lead opposite her was changed, not once but twice.

But we hear that this is quite far from being true. And the fact remains that the actress was acting quite ‘pricey’ for her shoes, and the maker and channel actually decided to show her the door.

A reliable source associated with the show told us, “Rashami wanted to have a say in the male lead to be cast opposite her. She did not want to work with the actors from SAB TV, as she wanted more popular faces. Instead, she started to call the shots, and this is when the channel decided to put their foot down and drop her from the cast. Every show before its launch goes through an extensive casting process, and this is not the first time that few actors have been replaced owing to certain reasons before the show reaches the launch phase. So the point of Rashami opting out does not arise, as the entire team was in a way vexed with her tantrum throwing.”

We tried buzzing Rashami with these facts, but did not get through to her.

We also tried reaching out to Producer Benaifer Kohli, but were unsuccessful.

Well, all said and done, one’s loss is another person’s gain. In this case, it was Saumya who benefitted!! As for Rashami, it is better luck next time.
