Mrunal soars high with an Eagle

Actor Mrunal Jain, currently seen in producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary's popular TV soap Bandhan, may share amazing on-screen chemistry with his female lead Chhavi Pandey – in fact, he is impressed by her talent and dedication – but his favourite co-star on the show is an eagle, whom he shot with recently. He recalls the experience, “The bird was required for a scene in the jungle. I had to call out to the eagle, which would then come and perch on my hand. I was surprised to see how comfortable it was with me. Animals and birds have always been friendly towards me. It was fantastic shooting for the sequence.” Interestingly, Mrunal, who is passionate about photography in real life, plays a wildlife photographer in the show. “That’s the first thing that excited me about this role. Photography has been my passion since college days and now, I am getting a chance to use the camera on screen. I am using my own camera on the show,” he says. Shooting in the picturesque locales of Umargaon has also given Mrunal some much-needed respite from his hectic social life. He explains, “Unlike Mumbai, where I have a huge social circle, I just concentrate on my work here. It’s all about me, my camera, my gym and my acting. I am getting more time to focus on myself. It is refreshing.”
