‘Stree Shakti’, the inspirational talk show on Doordarshan will have a new host in talented actress Divya Dutta from this week.
Taking over the reins of hosting the show from Samiksha Bhatnagar, Divya will now emphasize and narrate the inspirational stories of women who have not only faced challenges, but have come a long way in creating a difference in the society.
Produced by Mona Khot, this initiative to feature women who have emerged as winners has already seen many issues being talked about, by people who have gone through all.
Few of the eminent personalities who have been featured include Deepa Malik, a paraplegic who has made a name for herself in the sporting arena, Sandeep Kaur’s rags to riches story, the handicapped Sudha Patel and her journey to success, Seeta Devi who fights for girls’ education, Sapna Bhavnani a gang-rape victim, Laxmi, an acid attack victim etc.
Divya as we know, is a versatile actor who has proved her mettle in movies like Veer-Zaara, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Delhi-6, Stanley Ka Dabba, Heroine, Gippi, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and many more.
Divya will anchor Stree Shakti in the episodes featuring from this Sunday, 22 February.
