I have never attached myself to any gimmicks as an actress - Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma

Anshuka Sharma's debut film as a producer is not exactly the candy floss, larger than life romantic movies that she has been part of as an actress. NH10 is real, hard-hitting and bold. Of course keeping in mind the realism, cuss words too will be plentifully used in the movie as the trailer of the movie suggests. But with the new guardians of Censor Board all set to play spoilsport, Anushka may have to edit out a lot from her movie or beep out the cuss words which can prove to be even more irritating to the audience.

When we asked Anushka about the possible problems the film could face from the Censor Board, the actress reasoned, "If you see things out of context, you will have to beep out everything but if you see the context in which it has been used, it will make sense. There are no gimmicks in the film. It's a story. There are people in the film and these are real people. They behave the way a common man would do."

Commenting on the new set of words that Censor Board is proposing to ban in Hindi, Anushka said, "Those are still under consideration. We are sending them the film the way we have made it. We have made the film the way we understand it."

Anushka also made it clear that the cuss words in the movie are not inserted to grab eyeballs. "If I abuse you right now without any rhyme or reason, it will look odd. The cuss words in the movie have been used in a context. I as an actress have never attached myself to any gimmicks or anything just for effects and I wouldn't do that with my first film as a producer."
