Get set to find 'Miilee'

What do you say when you find the one you are searching for? 'Miilee?' Well, a fresh family drama called Miilee is arriving soon on Star Plus. Miilee will mark its entry in the first week of April. Set in the backdrop of Shimla, it is about a bubbly young girl called Miilee. She is a convent-educated orphan girl. The story focuses on Miilee's life after she finishes her schooling and takes up a job in a rich household. "I play a governess in the serial," explains Mona Wasu, who plays Miilee. "Even though the story is similar to the films The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady, it is set in a contemporary era," she adds. It is a serial complete with emotions, comedy and drama," says Mona. The serial has two male leads played by Ajay Gehi and Imran Khan respectively. Ajay Gehi explains his role, "I play Rahul, son of the family who employs Miilee. He is flamboyant, energetic and like the boy next door." "I chose to do this story because it has a very strong script and direction by Raman Kumar and Vinta Nanda. It does not show people waking up dressed up in suits. Neither does it show people performing pujas all the time," says Ajay. The serial was ready some time back, but took time to be launched. Would Miilee be another of Nanda's impactful serials? Will it create the same magic as Tara did a decade ago? "This serial will be even more impactful," believes Vinta Nanda whose film White Noise recieved great appreciation. Only time will tell! But Miilee promises to be a pleasant deviation from the stereotypical roles.
