The runaway success of UTV’s reality show Dance India Dance, has prompted the channel to return with its second season. According to TAM ratings, the finale of the show registered a TRP of 5.4 which ultimately helped Zee pip its rivals to the post. According to a source, “DID will have two more seasons. The show turned out to be a super success which compelled the channel to bring it back. The second season will be back in October after the conclusion of Saregamapa Li’ll Champs. The shooting of DID will commence a month before its launch. L’IL Champs is expected to conclude in the second week of October. Saumya Tandon is expected to remain as the anchor while there’s still no confirmation whether Jay Bhanushali will continue.” “The buzz is that the second season will be a little different from its earlier season. Probably, we’ll get to see kids this time. This might also result in some changes in the judges’ panel. In all probability, Mithun da will be retained as the Mahaguru. But this is subjected to change”, concludes our source. When contacted, Jay Bhanushali, said, “I have no clue please speak to the channel about this. If they affirm that I am on-board for the second season please do give the good news to me as well.” Ajay Bhalwankar, Zee TV Programming Head, said, “We can’t comment on it as yet.”
