I want to be known as a hard-working actor - Kinshuk Mahajan

Kinshuk Mahajan who recently wrapped up duties for his Sony TV show, Tum Aise Hi Rehna has vacation with his pretty wife, Divya Gupta in mind. However, this does not stop him from looking at plump offers that come his way. 

Says Kinshuk, “Yes, we are planning a vacation. But I am not looking at a big break though. I will always want to work continuously, and I am glad that I have been doing that till now.”

Kinshuk’s career reached the pinnacle of success when he grabbed back-to-back shows of Rajan Shahi, Bidaai followed by Chand Chupa Badal Mein. Post that, the young lad has been seen in shows like Afsar Bitiya and Tum Aise Hi Rehna. Talking of the choices he has made in his career so far, Kinshuk avers, “There is not much of a choice available on television. Every show looks very different for the initial three months, but usually ends up being the same with time. Having said this, I am extremely happy with the shows that I have done. After Bidaai and Chand Chupa, I took Afsar Bitiya which was very popular. Tum Aise Hi Rehna was again a very nice show, and it started in a very neat and clean way. I had a great experience working with Sony TV as well as Rashmi Sharma. But as you know, Sony TV has a niche audience for horror and crime-based shows and also, mature love stories. Also, I believe that only when something ends, you can look for a new beginning.”

So don’t you have any regrets from Tum Aise Hi Rehna? “Well, I will say that I feel bad as the story did not get to the phase where Abhimanyu could have proven that he is the same good guy even after marriage. We did not even reach the main concept of the show, and it ended.”  

What are you looking at now? “I want to work continuously, as at the end of the day, all depends on how good or bad you are as an actor. I want to be known as a hard-working actor who is sincere towards his job.”

Your immediate plans? “I plan to take my wife for a 10 days trip to either Greece or Turkey. I will start looking for projects soon after that.”
