MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 19 wrapped up with a high-voltage finale, but the episode has sparked a massive uproar online as netizens accuse host Salman Khan and the show’s makers of “insulting” Baseer Ali on stage.
Viewers have flooded social media with strong reactions, calling out the team for allegedly mistreating one of the season’s most promising contestants.
Baseer Ali entered Bigg Boss 19 as a strong contender and was widely expected to be among the finalists. However, his sudden eviction left fans shocked, with many labelling it one of the most unfair eliminations in the show’s history.
Following his exit, Baseer openly expressed that the show was biased and claimed that both the makers and Salman Khan had failed to support him when sensitive allegations ranging from questions about his personal life to remarks involving his sisters were brought up inside the house.
During the finale, Salman Khan addressed Baseer’s accusations head-on. He questioned why Baseer chose to attend the finale if he had such a big issue with the host and the makers, further warning him that disrespecting the platform where he gained recognition could affect future professional opportunities.
Salman also insisted that the eviction was solely vote-based, urging Baseer to “think twice” if he believed otherwise.
Baseer responded by saying he came only to complete his journey, though he admitted he was deeply hurt by the way his eviction unfolded.
Fans, however, have strongly sided with Baseer, blasting the makers for what they describe as unnecessary public shaming during the finale. Many argue that the unfair eviction was bad enough, and calling him out again on stage was “uncalled for”.
Here’s how netizens reacted:
Sheena Vora:
“Why must they target Baseer constantly? His unfair eviction wasn’t enough—they had to insult him again during the finale. He deserved to be a finalist.”
Karan Singh:
“I rooted for Baseer from day one. His elimination was shocking and unfair, and then insulting him again on the finale felt like a justification attempt from the makers.”
Suhana Sharma:
“I agree with Salman that Baseer shouldn’t have come. But we all know he wasn’t evicted because of votes. He deserved a place in the finale, and he was schooled only because he spoke the truth.”
Naina Jute:
“Baseer’s eviction is still one of the most shocking in Bigg Boss history. Calling him to the finale only to insult him again was unnecessary.”
Rohan Merchant:
“Baseer was a strong player. Even on the final day, they targeted him. It feels like they had an issue with him from the start.”
Despite not winning Bigg Boss 19, Baseer Ali has undoubtedly won the audience’s hearts and built a powerful fanbase that continues to stand firmly by his side.
