It's 'school days fun' again with Warrior High: Anupriya Kapoor

Anupriya Kapoor

Angelic beauty Anupriya Kapoor acted her way into the hearts of millions by portraying Taani in Star Plus’ Tere Liye. The gorgeous lady is presently mesmerizing audiences by playing a teacher in MTV’s popular youth show Warrior High (Lost Boy Productions).

In a candid chat with Tellychakkar.com, Anupriya spoke about her school days, her character and more…

Since your character is shown falling in love with a younger man, what is your take on such a relationship?

There is no major age difference between Veebha (Anupriya Kapoor) and Parth (Laksh Lalwani); it’s hardly 2 to 3 years and that is very normal. I don’t find anything wrong about such a relationship.

Have you ever had a crush on your teacher?

No, but my friends had a crush on a teacher. So I know how they used to react when the particular teacher entered the class. I think boys are more attracted to their female teachers.

Talk about your school day memories?

I never had some fun school day memories because I was quite an innocent girl. My school days were never the best days of my life. I never had that much freedom during childhood because I was not allowed to go for any school trips. Now while working for this show I am experiencing the school day fun and am really enjoying it.

Why were you away from television for a long time?

It took me four years to return because I didn't want to do everything that came my way. I am choosy when it comes to my roles. I was getting offers which were quite similar to that of Taani and I didn't want to repeat myself. And finally, this role happened. I play a teacher who has come down from abroad and is forced to work because of circumstances.

You have always maintained a low profile, why so?

When I was not working I did not have anything to talk about, so I was away from media. But now I have work so I can talk about it.

With whom do you bond very well on the set?

My producer Vikas and all my other co-actors, as we have a lot of fun on set.

What do you think about the current scenario on TV?

I think it is changing gradually and becoming better day by day. The focus has shifted from the saas bahu saga to youth shows and fans love it.

Wish you luck girl!
